A big part of this trip for BC was connecting with his ancestral homeland. Since both of his grandmothers were of Calabrese descent, and since Sicily and Calabria are so very close together, we took a short day trip to Reggio Calabria, the largest city in Calabria and close to the ferry terminal from Messina in Sicily.
